Manchester horror: Man stabbed in head in daylight attack – police launch hunt | UK | News


Police were called to Yew Tree Road, in Moss Side, at 10.15am this morning, where they found the injured man. A large cordon was put in place and an air ambulance was seen landing nearby. The man was taken to hospital, where he is in a critical condition. No arrests have yet been made. 

Greater Manchester Police said in a statement: “Officers were called by colleagues at NWAS around 10.15am today (Monday 24 May) to a report of an injured male on Yew Tree Road, Manchester.

“Officers attended and enquiries established a man in his 20s had been stabbed in the head.

“He has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.

“No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.”

Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

It comes after a man was also taken to hospital in a serious condition yesterday after being stabbed multiple times in Manchester in a separate attack.

Police rushed to Prince Street, in Ramsbottom at 12.20am on Sunday morning.
