It clearly inspired Fury, who uploaded the image to Twitter himself and wrote: “What a shape on a man especially for his age. Respect. Ripped.”

The Rock, real name Dwayne Johnson, regularly shares inspiring videos on his Instagram page, which has more than 200million followers.

Despite approaching his 50s, he follows an intense schedule and often declares himself ‘the hardest worker in the room’.

He revealed in a post last year he was training six days a week in lockdown and following a strict diet, having only Sundays off.

Johnson is currently working on a number of TV and film projects.

He is set to produce and star in a biopic about pro-wrestler turned MMA and UFC fighter Mark Kerr.

“Mark Kerr’s story is such an incredible story,” he said recently.

“Like all of us, and like a lot of these fighters, he battled these demons — these demons of addiction, these demons of mental health, these demons of getting out and the pressure of fighting in front of 50,000 people and what that does to somebody.”

Like The Rock, WBC heavyweight champion Fury is no stranger to the gym himself, having famously lost 10 stone before his comeback in 2018.

He last fought against Deontay Wilder last February but continued to train throughout 2020, and put on a series of lockdown workouts for fans on Instagram.

His fighting frame will be fine-tuned once again before he faces Anthony Joshua in 2021, with their proposed undisputed title fight nearing a date.

The WBO will reportedly order Oleksandr Usyk to face Joe Joyce for their interim heavyweight title, leaving the path clear for Fury to face Joshua for all of the belts.

UFC superstar Conor McGregor is as excited as the rest of combat sports world to see ‘The Gypsy King’ finally face British adversary Joshua and even offered the 32-year-old some tips for when he faces the 2012 Olympic Gold medallist.

“It’s an interesting one,” McGregor told TheMacLife. “[Deontay] Wilder is a lot smaller than him (Fury) – 40 pounds I believe the weight difference was.

“I would imagine he would be lighter on the feet and not as pressed forward against Joshua, and probably look to pick his pockets.

“Anthony is a powerful man. He’s not the cleanest boxer technically but he is powerful and has his fundamentals down.

“It would be an interesting bout to see how both men would approach it.

“I’d certainly be interested to watch it.”
